Im very easy to get along with and Im guessing that the people who might make an offer are people that are familiar with the age, quality, rareness and just from the picture that this is an authentic piece of Hubley at its best. Here is an extremely rare and becoming very difficult to find antique front facing Fox Terrier Hubley cast iron door stop. This 100 year old gem is Hubley’s model #381, which is the very rare larger sized front-facing Fox Terrier model from the 1920’s to 1930’s. The extra large profile measures approximately 12″ long by 10″ high by 4 deep, and it weighs about 9 pounds! It has excellent detailed workmanship from the tip of his nose to his toes. This type of workmanship is what makes Hubleys creations so sought after and extremely collectible. Even the fur is three-dimensional! The hand painted detailed eyes, ears, pink tongue and prideful workmanship is what makes this beautiful door stop timeless, highly sought after and forever loved. There are no cracks or other structural damage. The original factory paint has chips (typical with this age of cast iron collectibles) as seen in the photos. This rarely seen size and orientation is a must have for any cast iron or doorstop collector, and dog lovers too! My personal love for cast iron runs deep inside my soul. Im afraid that these kind of workers and companies are a thing of the past. This is why I love antique cast iron collectibles.
