ANTIQUE CAST IRON DOOR STOP WHITE GARDEN FENCE with ROSES BY SARAH SYMONDS

A beautifully detailed Sarah W. Symonds cast iron door stop. A white garden fence with an architectural final is featured with rose bushes and a brick pathway. The final has been decorated with swags and a flame torch. This architectural piece not only works for the original purpose but also would be an excellent piece to decorate a potting shed or cutting room Bunny Williams style. Symonds door stops are highly collectable and very detailed. A bit about Sarah; Sarah W. Symonds was born into one of Salems most talented crafting families. She was born in in 1870 and was a sculptor, artist and craftsman. Sarah’s goods were made through very complex stages which produced finely detailed items. Her door knockers and door stops are highly collectible and their values continue to rise. American, cast iron, signed (though part is worn) by Sarah W. Measurements; 8 X 5 X 1 ½. Antique Vintage Flower Basket Cast Iron #475 Hubley Doorstop Door Stop Orig

Sweet 1930’s Hubley Wild Roses flower basket antique doorstop. Pretty arrangement of multi -colored flowers in a graceful basket weave base making this door stop so lovely. Topped off with a pink bow and base. Marked on the back with Hubley’s three digit incised number 475. Produced by Hubley Manufacturing Company. Hubley was located in Lancaster, PA. They are famous among collectors of figural painted cast iron for their attention to detail and realistic designs. Measures: 7 1/2″ X 7 1/2″. Antique Albany Foundry #94 “Red Riding Hood with Wolf” Cast Iron Doorstop. Scarce & desirable Albany Foundry piece. Nicely detailed doorstop with some good color remaining. An original Albany Foundry doorstop marked on the back with the number 94. An example of this piece is shown in “The Doorstop Book” By John & Nancy Smith on page 199. In good condition with moderate paint loss & crackling. Original paint with some nice color remaining. Measures 7 1/4 inches wide by 5 3/8 inches wide at the base and weighs 4.0 lbs.
