Up for sale is a wonderful antique late 19th century solid cast iron figural doorstop. It’s a nice quality casting, is a heavy piece, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The stop is in the form of a young girl standing on a grass designed base tightly holding a basket in her hand. It is in nice condition and measures 9 3/4 inches tall by 5 inches wide by 2 inches thick. The piece has been repainted but is a very early repaint. This rare antique cast iron Hubley basket of tulips doorstop was made in the 1920’s and features the original colors of red & yellow tulips. It is part of a series of flower doorstops that was produced by the Hubley Company. It is 13″ high x 9″ and in wonderful condition with age wear as you can see in the pictures.

CAST IRON SINKBOX CANVASBACK. JOHN GRAHAM – UPPER CHESAPEAKE BAY MODEL. EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION WITH ORIGINAL FINISH. Antique Original Cast Iron Sinkbox Wing Duck Decoys in this condition don’t become available very often. This is a wonderful example of a John Graham Canvasback from the Upper Bay of the Chesapeake Bay. John Graham was born and lived in Charlestown, Maryland (1822 – 1912) located up above the Susquehanna River. This great old Cast Iron Sinkbox Decoy is in exceptional condition without any cracks or repairs. It has its original finish although there is some age related pitting. It has a Solid Body with a great aged patina. This Antique piece of Cast Iron is quite heavy weighing over 18 pounds. It measures 13 inches long, 5 1/2 inches in height and 6 1/4 inches in width. Today many antique cast iron collectors use these great old functional Sinkbox Duck Decoys as Doorstops.
