1930-40s vintage cast iron Scotty terrier dogs door stop lamp with clip-on pleated paper shade. Engraved on the back of the lamp is 157 NSM Co. The image of the two leaning terriers was believed to be part of Texacos 1930 listen ad campaign. The bent ear image is the one used by Texaco in its ad campaign. The vintage clip-on pleated paper lamp shade has a green-orange-brown small floral patterned design. Lamp shade has no tears or holes but shows signs of use and wear with some of the green edging along the bottom of the shade missing (see photos). The missing edging is not readily noticeable however. Lamp has new wiring including a brass socket with pull chain and vintage-inspired twisted coffee-blend colored cotton cord with black end plug. Lamp base has been repainted in brown with ebony accents. Lamp with shade measures 13-1/2 tall; base is 3 deep and 9 wide; shade is 6 tall, top 4 deep and 5-3/4 wide, bottom is 6 deep and 8-1/2 wide. A 40 watt LED standard base style light bulb is included and recommended to prevent the shade from getting too hot. This is a beautiful, unique lamp.
