VINTAGE CAST IRON RED BASKET FULL OF MUMS DOORSTOP – 9 TALL – ORIGINAL PAINT. It measures 9″ tall by 6 5/8″ wide. The paint is original, in very good condition, with a slight amount of rubbing and very minor chipping. It shows its age rather nicely, slightly soiled. Up for sale is a wonderful antique late 19th century solid cast iron figural doorstop. It’s a nice quality casting, is a heavy piece, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The stop is in the form of a young girl standing on a grass designed base tightly holding a basket in her hand. It is in nice condition and measures 9 3/4 inches tall by 5 inches wide by 2 inches thick. The piece has been repainted but is a very early repaint. This rare antique cast iron Hubley basket of tulips doorstop was made in the 1920’s and features the original colors of red & yellow tulips. It is part of a series of flower doorstops that was produced by the Hubley Company. It is 13″ high x 9″ and in wonderful condition with age wear as you can see in the pictures.
