Antique Cast Iron SANTA CLAUS Figure Doorstop Painted Christmas Door Stop 15 Vtg. This item is used and in good vintage shape with just some normal use and age wear (see pictures). It weighs about 6.9 pounds on my scale and stands about 15 inches tall. It definitely has some paint wear in various spots (see pictures). The edges also appear to have a little white paint scuffs from a wall it was standing against. Please look at the pictures carefully. You get exactly what is pictured. Light fixture is untested and has a chip. Original paint in excellent condition with great natural patina. UNKNOWN MAKER, I have been picking antique items for over 40 years. And I have never seen one. In my time researching I could not find anything. Cabin appears to have bushes with blooming flowers or could be Christmas lights. Amazing find from a former Wildwood NJ boardwalk store.

Antique Cast Iron Painted Santa Claus Belsnickle Figure Door Stop 1905 Christmas
Wonderful cast iron Santa Claus / Belsnickle figure with original paint. He is stamped 1905 at the front of the base. I collected door stops for a long time and this is from my personal collection. From what I can recall from some prior research I believe there were a series of these made from various molds made by Hubley perhaps? So I think he is actually part of a broader set that depicts Santas over the ages. But he is unmarked. I believe this year – 1905 – is fairly rare as I have never seen one when I have researched periodically. He has been with me for some time and well cared for. He is pretty cute and doesn’t eat much! He stands just 4-1/2 inches high but is quite heavy as he is formed from cast iron. He weighs just shy of 2-1/2 pounds unpacked. Such a charming addition to your vintage Christmas collection!
