UP FOR SALE TODAY IS AN ORIGINAL 1800’s STUNNING CAST IRON FRUIT BASKET DOORSTOP. IT MEASURES APPROX 10” TALL BY 8” LONG BY 3 1/4” DEEP AND WEIGHS OVER 13lbs. I WOULD DATE IT FROM 1870 – 1900. ITS A STUNNING AND HIGHLY DETAILED CAST IRON DOORSTOP WITH ITS ORIGINAL COLD PAINTED FINISH. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE AND HIGHLY COLLECTABLE DOORSTOP THAT WILL MAKE AN EXCELLENT ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION. GREAT PICTURES SAY IT ALL AND I WILL SEND ADDITIONAL PICS ON REQUEST. I TRY MY BEST TO DESCRIBE ANY DEFECTS THAT I CAN FIND.

This is a beautiful ANTIQUE CAST IRON PAINTED FRUIT TREE IN HANDLED BUCKET DOOR STOP. The paint work and casting detail is VERY well done. It is BIG at 13.25, and VERY heavy at 5 1/2lb / 2.5kg. This is a piece of Art, nicely done. There is no casting number or foundry mark on the back or base of it that I can see. I think it’s in great condition and very well done, from the bucket to the leaves and fruit to the bark… You must be the judge. There is some oxidation, mainly between the leaves, but still retains most of it’s original paint. Pictures are taken with and without flash for contrast and clarity. 13 1/4″h x 7 1/4″ w x 7 1/2w base. Please see ALL pictures under magnification. They are a MAJOR part of the description.
