Antique Genuine Hubley # 193 Spanish Girl Lady Cast Iron Doorstop Original Paint

For sale is a RARE! Antique HUBLEY # 193 SPANISH GIRL/dancing LADY CAST IRON DOORSTOP with brilliant ORIGINAL paint throughout. Her shawl and fan has the best flamboyant colors of its period, yet has been greatly aged with time. There is a factory number “193” on the backside, a good indication that this is a genuine HUBLEY piece. See Reference on Page 189 of The Doorstop Book. It is found in a New England estate. It measures 9″ tall and 5″ wide at the base. There are some minor paint loss here and there commensurate with age. Please check all photos and zoom in to see details. Vintage Spanish Galleon Sailing Ship Cast Iron Gilded Brass Doorstop

This Doorstop would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. This oversized doorstop could be displayed upon a piece or furniture or shelf top as an ornamental accent. The cast iron shows stunning details throughout, it’s finished in an brass lacquer. The piece stands on an oversized base with styled feet. The backside of the base fits nicely under a door while ajar. The backside is marked “2”, which indicates its cast number. Condition: This piece is in great condition with only mild wear shown to the finish. Surface scratches and scuffs are shown in select areas from age. Dimensions: 12″ wide x 12.5″ tall x 6 deep. And, here we have a prime example of one of those early pieces.
