RARE Original Antique ALBANY FOUNDRY or HUBLEY CAST IRON Sitting BLACK CAT Doorstop Statue. 7″ Tall x 3 1/2″ on base. Heavy and weighs in at approx. 9 LBS 7 OZ. Vintage Used Condition-Excellent Condition. Founded by John E. Hubley in 1894 to manufacture equipment and accessories for electric trains. From day one, John Hubley emphasized toy and bank manufacturing. The first Hubley toys appeared in 1909 and were made of cast-iron Anything Hubley ever made was always made in Cast Iron. Today, Hubley is most known for their Cast Iron Toys. Hubley’s Marking Style. Their Numbers on back were usually in. Engraved in the back of the Doorstop. The earliest (original) creations were marked this way, and then later on they added “made in USA”.

Gorgeous Antique Heron Cast Iron Door Stop Stamped

Estate fresh beautiful antique cast iron heron door stop. I think it is an Albany Foundry made in 1920’s. Stamped but cannot read. Condition is good, normal wear for age. No breaks or repairs. Certainly not new so please take advantage of zoom or enlarge feature and study all photos thoroughly. 5″ wide X 2 1/4 deep X 7 1/2″ tall. Beautiful old piece of Americana. If more it’s on me. Rare Cast Iron Hubley Full Figure Seated Monkey Doorstop Stamped 2 Original

A vintage cast iron Hubley doorstop in the form of a full figure seated monkey showing the original painted finish, circa 1930. The monkey has a great facial expression and he sits with his tail wrapped around to form the base. The three-piece casting is held together with the original screw. Weighing 6.5 pounds. The Hubley Manufacturing Company was first incorporated in 1894 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by John Hubley. The company is well-known for their cast iron novelties and their pieces are highly collectible and much sought after. This model is a rarer example. Light wear as can be expected.
