Rare Grandpa Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. Early version made by Hubley. Mostly original paint with possible old touch-ups to the red only. The red has an old, mellow patina and chips like the other colors so the red (only), so if it was repainted, it was repainted at least 50-60 years ago (or more) and now looks original like the other colors, which are factory painted. The red on the base was possibly green, but these were hand painted in the factory and often had unique color schemes, and we’ve seen one with original blue paint on the base, so this might be all original, we just aren’t sure.
