GREENBLATT STUDIOS IN BOSTON, DATED 1924. GREENBLATT WAS IN OPERATION FROM 1924 UNTIL 1948-49 AT 17 RICHMOND STREET IN BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS. MORRIS GREENBLATT WAS THE OWNER and WAS FIRST ASSOCIATED in 1902 WITH THE NUBIAN ART COMPANY AND LATER WITH BOSTON PLASTIC ART CO. THIS IS ONE OF HIS EARLIEST DOORSTOPS FROM THE GREENBLATT STUDIOS DATED 1924 INCISED ON THE BACK. SIZE 10 3/4″ HIGH x 8 1/2″ WIDE (at the widest part of the base) x 2 1/2 DEEP. THIS IS IN ORIGINAL CONDITION AND HAS NOT BEEN REPAINTED HOWEVER, I NOW REALIZE THAT THE TOPS OF THE 2 MASTS ARE MISSING I DIDN’T KNOW THIS UNTIL JUST RE-RESEARCHING AND SEEING ANOTHER ONE OF THESE WITH THE TOPS OF THE MASTS IN PLACE. MARKING THIS DOWN FOR A QUICK SALE YOU’D NEVER KNOW ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH THIS UNLESS I SHOWED YOU THE LAST PICTURE ABOVE (which is just to show the missing parts on mine).
