Antique Hubley 1930s cast iron dog metal door stop statue art sculpture Terrier

We offer for your consideration an antique unmarked Hubley cast iron Boston Terrier door stop home garden art statue figure from the 1930s. He has a flat slot head screw, which dates him to pre late 1930s. I hope you can see the oxidation of the screw; it is a small area and does not detract from his displayable beauty on both sides. If you study the photos you will notice he has the Hubley paint His paint and patina shows it age still a stunning piece. This is an incredible Wire-hair? Fox Terrier, This heavy beauty will receive careful packaging. This terrier is 8.5″ height and 8″ length. This perfect pet is heavy, strong, and well-made weight is 7.58 pounds. You can see the quality craftsmanship in the muscular body. The individual pieces of hair and color are well aged all seams are solid and tight. You can see he shows crackling of his paint. He was not washed, cleaned, or waxed. You may see a green and mostly faded collar around the neck. He is brought to you in his found condition. He shows fading of his colors, but the overall effect of his colors was well preserved. Please see all photo’s ask any questions you may have. Check out this beautiful cast iron Pointer Dog doorstop. This is a nicely made doorstop and would be a great decoration in your home or as an addition to your collection. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself! The Pointer Dog has a Antique White and black finish to it. The tail, legs, and ears are all intact. Someone put putty over the screw that holds the halves of the dog together a long time ago, a little lighter than the rest of the body now. The piece dates to the 1920s to 1940s. According to an Ebayer that collects Hubleys, this is a Setter Model #347. The Dog is definitely “pointing”, assuming a rigid position with his tail up and left front leg lifted. The doorstop has some loss of paint over the years, still looks good. The doorstop appears to be intact. We see no cracked, repaired or missing pieces. The Pointer Dog doorstop is 8.75″ tall, 15.5″ long, and about 3.75 wide. In Hubley country here with Lancaster, PA so close by, but do not see any maker’s mark on this piece. The doorstop’s seams are tight and the screw is not coming out any time soon that holds the piece together. Make sure that this item meets your needs and requirements before deciding to acquire it.
