A wonderful old cast iron Old Salt Fisherman. Fresh from a Connecticut home. The doorstop was made by the Eastern Specialty Company or Lancaster, Pa. It is marked Eastern Spec. On the back of the base, weighs a little over 13 pounds and stands 14.5 inches high. The stop is in excellent condition with no breaks, cracks or repairs. The paint is old and original with no overpainting. At first I questioned whether the beard and hands were repainted but found other examples on the net and Worthpoint painted identically. Great detail on the facial features. There is expected wear on some high points and edges. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Metalware\Cast Iron”.
