LARGE FLAT RATE BOX MAY BE THE BEST OPTION. FINE OLD figural “BOY WITH HANDS IN POCKETS” cast iron doorstop with ORIGINAL PAINT. Cast in the 1920’s by the famous iron doorstop maker H. JUDD at their NEW BRITAIN, CONNECTICUT foundry. Finest Quality, HEAVY weighs 8 lbs. Please see close-ups to appreciate the boy’s face, how “huskie” he is, his pants are split open at the top (lol), he’s wearing knickers and his socks have fallen down! Doorstops like this just aren’t made anymore. Generous 10 3/4” tall, with a “HORSESHOE SHAPE BASE MEASURES 3 3/8″ deep by 3 1/4 wide. CONDITION: EXCELLENT OVERALL CONDITION. NORMAL EXPECTED PAINT WEAR. The piece is ORIGINAL THROUGHOUT including its ORIGINAL PAINT that is WITHOUT TOUCH UPS!! Many found in the old buildings found on our ca. 1738 farm here in Virginia.
