Wonderful and RARE Huge Antique / Vintage PIRATE GIRL Anne Bonny Female Pirate Cast Iron Doorstop Possibly by Albany Foundry. I recently acquired a small portion of the collection of 2 lifelong doorstop collectors from NY. They had traveled the US for over 50 years going to shows and antique shops looking for doorstops to add to their collection. , I was able to pick through the hundreds that were left. Please take a look at my other listings! Last photo is a sample of some I have for sale. This lovely all original doorstop is an extremely rare color variant of Pirate Girl depicting a female pirate in a yellow shirt with a sword, skull & crossbones hat and sacks of gold between her legs with Original Paint! Now this is a rare doorstop to begin with and I’ve only seen a dozen or less examples – but ALL of them had a Red shirt except for one example that is in the Doorstop eMuseum which has a Blue shirt. I have NEVER seen an example with a Yellow shirt and this IS Original Paint. I’m not sure if this was a custom request, a prototype/sample color match, or just an extremely rare color variant! It is a solid construction and is marked “PIRATE GIRL” in embossed letters on the back. I have seen this doorstop advertised as being made by Albany Foundry once or twice but I’m not positive. It’s always nice seeing doorstops this large – they’re a work of art! Its in very nice condition for its age, especially since this is the original paint.
