Vintage Bradley & Hubbard Cast Iron Parrot Doorstop or Bookend
This vintage cast iron parrot doorstop or bookend by Bradley & Hubbard features a richly colored parrot perched within a circular golden frame on a decorative rectangular base. The original polychrome finish adds to its charm, with beautiful detail in both the feathers and the geometric surface pattern. A striking and collectible piece of early American cast iron decor with strong presence and whimsical appeal. Condition: Very good overall condition; general wear, original paint, replaced bolt; kindly see photos. Measurements: 8 inches tall, 6.75 inches wide. Dates to: Early-Mid 1900s. Antique solid cast iron standing rabbit doorstop (or garden decor), circa 1890 – 1910. Heavy with great patina, and remnants of white paint. Measures: 5.5″ x 4″ x 10.75 in length, width and height.
