Absolutely Wonderful Antique Cast Iron French Bulldog Doorstop. I believe this to be a Hubley although there is no makers mark present. Doorstop measures 5 1/2 inches wide and stands 5 inches high. It has great age wear Patina with just a hint of original paint peeking through. Please look closely at all the photographs for best description and detail.

For sale is an antique cast iron lying down lion door stop / paperweight / bookend. Painted white at some time. Unmarked as far as I can see. Age is probably late 1800’s to early 1900’s. Condition is excellent with only some paint wear as seen in photos. Measures 2 3/4″ in height, 2″ wide and 5 1/2 in length. Great old collectable for a door stop, paperweight, bookend, zoo, circus or just an animal collector! Please Note: Most of my items are vintage or pre-owned and may show signs of wear, age and use. For Your Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Collection-SailShip21212. The doorstop has two feet on which it stands and a central stop which is what would stop the door in its place. The back also has two short prongs at mid height, which extend outwards and are probably to ensure the doorstop does not touch the door. Very nice antique doorstop, marked No 205 on the back, which is large and heavy. This is a nice size piece and weighs over 5 pounds. Please view photos as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Early to mid 20th century. Origin: Uncertain but most likely the USA. Size: Measures 10 1/2″ in width and is 11″ high. The doorstop weighs slightly over 5 pounds. Marks: Stamped on the back “NO 205″. Distinguishing Characteristics – Most Interesting About The Piece: This is definitely a nice antique doorstop. It weighs over 5 pounds and has most of its original paint. Condition: This doorstop is in excellent condition with no breaks or repairs. It has some minor losses to the original paint and minor rust spots on the back and bottom, which can be seen in the photos. Please see photo to appreciate the beauty and condition of the doorstop. Vintage (or antique) cast iron door stop, measuring approximately 11″ tall, 9″ wide, and 4 deep. It features a gnome or elf woman/mother holding a child and sitting with a cat to the lower right. It may have been multi-colored originally, as it looks like it was repainted white at some point. It was an estate find, and so unfortunately, we have no information about its provenance.
