Pair of Parrots Perched. Old Figural Cast Iron Birds. Doorstop radio speaker decorative art statue. FIAT – maker marked on back and bottom. Measures approximately 14 1/4″ tall 15 1/4″ wide 6 deep. Reference photo next to 12 oz can to help judge size. Weighs approximately 6 pounds 12 ounces. Please view all pictures for additional information. Unsure of original use of piece. Reminiscent of old cast iron radio speaker sides missings. We have not been able to reference this piece. Appears to have possibly been repainted in this teal color. This listing is for a pretty cast iron doorstop depicting 2 love birds nesting in a flower and fern filled urn. The composition of the design is really nice with one bird’s wing and tail feathers continuing the upward trajectory of the ferns. The white paint is a bit chippy.. I really like the antique look of the chippiness but if you don’t a new spray coat with a metal spray paint would be easy! If you’re crafty, colorizing this is an option too.
