Vintage hubley cast iron black cat door stop turn of century

This gorgeous extremely rare vintage piece was my great uncles who passed in 2010, he was a collector of antiques. I know it’s old and weighs about 16 lbs. I can not find any markings on it, but as you can see in the pictures it has some rust on the bottom. It has not been painted, touched up or altered in anyway. I did take a dry cloth to wipe off dust that is it! I have carefully researched this cat door stop, it is a highly sought after collectible, the pictures will help tell the story. Hubley Foundry doorstop of a Ringmaster Gentleman with a feather in his hat. REFERENCE: The Doorstop Book by John and Nancy Smith pg 212. Designed by English Illustrator Anne Fish. Signed, Fish & Numbered 269 (tough to read, but it is there). Measures approximately 9.5″ tall with feather x base approximately 4.5″ wide x 1.5 deep. I have taken a number of pictures so youe can see ith has wear and missing paint. Still a lovely item to add to your collection. Antique Bradley And Hubbard Meriden Ct Cast Iron Flower Urn Doorstop 1st Paint

Fresh from a Connecticut estate is this fine large early 1900s antique Bradley and Hubbard figural doorstop of a silver-white urn overflowing with polychrome flowers. The factory paint is subtle, as are all decorated B&H doorstops, original deep olive green pebble textured back. Very good original untouched condition with just the lightest use wear and minimal loss of first paint. About 11.5 inches tall at back and about 5.25 inches across bottom of stepped base, very heavy, beautiful casting as you’d expect from this old company. I lightly ran a damp cotton cloth over this doorstop to remove surface dirt, patina is great. Nice collector or gift condition. Guaranteed as described, please message any questions.
