Fantastic, Old, cast iron, black cat doorstop. It stands 9 1/4″ tall x 4 1/4″ wide at base. Condition is very good, with the exception of some rust on the bottom. No marks that I can find. Vintage Hubley Mold Signed Iron Art Cast Iron Doorstop-black Cat Green Eyes

This lovely vintage Hubley cat is 10 1/2 inches in lenght and 5 inches wide in its widest part. It has the number cast inside the cat shown in photo. It has its original paint for the eyes and mouth. The short-lived IRON ART COMPANY of Chicago, Illinois bought the mold for Hubley fireside cat doorstop. Iron Art Foundry made few doorstops in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s, making mostly trivets, mirror frames, and wall sconces. This vintage piece is signed Iron Art. ANTIQUE CAST IRON Puppy Inkwell Doorstop Door DOG GLASS EYES STATUE 9 11lbs

Antique Art Deco Cast Iron statue depicting a Puppy Dog , baby hunting dog, hound-dog, may have been an inkwell. Breed unknown maybe LABRADOR RETRIEVER or perhaps a. Glass eyes Antique Doorstop or statue. Excellent aged condition, minor expected wear and tear for its use and age. Estimated circa 1895, nice smooth casting. Very tender look about him, realistic eyes. Hole on top of head for easy movement to different location, or maybe was an inkwell. 9 inches tall, 9 high and weighs appx. Small specks of paint on surface , never tried to remove, I think it adds to his charm. There is typical wear from use as a doorstop, he is from my private collection.
