HUBLEY “PANSY BOWL” #256 CAST IRON DOORSTOP. The doorstop is referred to in collector books as Hubley’s #256 “Pansy Bowl”. It depicts a bouquet of brightly colored pansy blooms in a striped pink and white urn. The doorstop stands about 6 5/8″ tall and measures approximately 7″ wide. The back side is painted white. This doorstop is pictured on page 140 in the book. The back side has the stamped number “256”, the correct mold number for this piece. This doorstop is guaranteed to be a vintage cast iron doorstop and NOT a modern reproduction (this doorstop has not been reproduced). Condition of this vintage doorstop is VERY GOOD. It has been well cared for. The paint has some nicks and minor wear, but is all original with no touch up. What appears to be the original felt is still attached to the underside of the base. Overall, this doorstop looks fantastic and would make a fine addition to any collection. Please take a close look at the many photos I’ve provided and judge condition for yourself.
