Vintage Hubley Cast Iron Boston Terrier Sitting Puppy Door Stop

Little Boston Terrier puppy doorstop. Unmarked but authentic the paper label is missing. Incredibly heavy item for it’s size at approx. The Piece shows a black back and white colored young terrier dog resting on it’s hind-legs. The Figural design shows all its legs, two floppy-ears, dark snout, and a curling tail. A red collar is seen around the dog’s neck. Black paint on the back, and top of the head. White paint on the tip of the snout and under-belly. Measures 5 5/8″ Long x 4 1/2″ High x 2 1/2 Wide. Large antique 1930 original hand painted cast iron covered wagon doorstop

Up for sale is a large antique covered wagon doorstop made in 1930. It’s cast out of very thick iron, has its original paint applied by hand, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The doorstop is very heavy and marked/dated on the backside. It’s in nice antique condition and measures 11 1/2 inches long by 8 1/2 inches tall by 2 3/4 inches back to front. Great looking fun cast iron figural black cat doorstop and or string holder. Made by Albany Foundry. The inside is hollow to accommodate string or other items. The base has a metal plate which moves side to side so can be removed. Nice antique used condition with some discoloration as pictured. Note hole in nose area for string. This is a beautiful Hubley German Shepherd with the original finish. It has not been repainted. There are traces of rust and some remaining paint. This dog is just shy of 9 from floor to top of head, and 8.25 ground measurement from front foot to tip of tail. He weighs 5 pounds before packaging. Make sure to notice his beautiful eyes.
