Antique Cast Iron Heavy Doorstop Ship with Sails or Galleon Marked No 205

For Your Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Collection-SailShip21212. The doorstop has two feet on which it stands and a central stop which is what would stop the door in its place. The back also has two short prongs at mid height, which extend outwards and are probably to ensure the doorstop does not touch the door. Very nice antique doorstop, marked No 205 on the back, which is large and heavy. This is a nice size piece and weighs over 5 pounds. Please view photos as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Early to mid 20th century. Origin: Uncertain but most likely the USA. Size: Measures 10 1/2″ in width and is 11″ high. The doorstop weighs slightly over 5 pounds. Marks: Stamped on the back “NO 205″. Distinguishing Characteristics – Most Interesting About The Piece: This is definitely a nice antique doorstop. It weighs over 5 pounds and has most of its original paint. Condition: This doorstop is in excellent condition with no breaks or repairs. Victorian Punch & Judy Cast Iron Doorstop Door Stops Bookends Hand Painted 12 tall. Up for sale is this beautiful matching pair of Victorian hand painted/enameled Punch & Judy cast iron door stops. Both are intricately hand painted with glossy vibrant colors. The doorstops are in great antique condition with crazing in the enamel work and a few tiny specks of paint loss here and there. The Punch door stop measures 11 1/2″ x 9″ x 3 3/8 and weighs 7 lb 2 oz. The Judy doorstop measures 11 13/16″ x 8 5/8″ x 3 3/8 and weighs 6 lb 5 oz. ITEM DESCRIPTION:: ———- Not sure who made the item or when the item was made or where it was made… Based on where found, I thought the Littco Foundry of Littlestown Pa made the item, but I found “Kenco” marked on the inside… Dog is approx 6″ high at highest, 8.5″ long, and and 3.75 thick when connected, at thickest….. Dog is well worn with a lot of paint loss…… Item weighs approx 5.5 pounds.. Pictures may not show all defects.. You can use the checkout page or wait for an invoice from me….
