Antique Cast Iron Painted Santa Claus Belsnickle Figure Door Stop 1905 Christmas

Wonderful cast iron Santa Claus / Belsnickle figure with original paint. He is stamped 1905 at the front of the base. I collected door stops for a long time and this is from my personal collection. From what I can recall from some prior research I believe there were a series of these made from various molds made by Hubley perhaps? So I think he is actually part of a broader set that depicts Santas over the ages. But he is unmarked. I believe this year – 1905 – is fairly rare as I have never seen one when I have researched periodically. He has been with me for some time and well cared for. He is pretty cute and doesn’t eat much! He stands just 4-1/2 inches high but is quite heavy as he is formed from cast iron. He weighs just shy of 2-1/2 pounds unpacked. Such a charming addition to your vintage Christmas collection! This is a proud Hubley Doberman Pinscher Cast Iron Doorstop in rich black and brown color. This doorstop is in excellent condition. With original paint and very little paint loss. There are no breaks, no cracks, and no chips. The original flat head screw is covered by the original paint, as shown. This dog is really handsome. He stands is about 7 inches tall and 9 inches long.
