This is a heavy cast iron doorstop m. Arked Fish on the bottom base and what looks like a number 250 imprinted in the cast iron on the back middle under the paint. The doorstop measures almost 11 inches tall and 5 1/8 inches wide across the bottom base. Some light surface rust on the bottom but great condition otherwise as shown. Here is a rare and desirable doorstop made as an advertising promotion for the New Holland Machine Co. Out of New Holland, Pennsylvania in Lancaster County. Given away as a premium COMPLIMENTS OF A. Dates to the 1930s. Measures approximately 13 long. CONDITION: good overall, very dirty, barn fresh find. There is a chipped piece missing at the far right of the base, not really noticeable unless you closely inspect. Originally the cow was painted gold and it was repainted white some years later, but the gold is peeking through and the white flaking off so it may be able to return to original state.
