The eyes have been replaced in the past with glass marbles, the glass marbles are not original, there is some glue marks on the marbles and around the eye opening on back; there is also some visible hot glue if you look closely (see photos). One of the eyes is a little yellowed with glue residue when compared to the other, as is.
