Old Antique I CROAK FOR THE JACKSON WAGON Cast Iron FROG Advertising DOORSTOP

Presented for your consideration is this neat antique doorstop (or paperweight). The doorstop is made of solid cast iron and is in the shape of a frog with raised lettering down its back. Reads I Croak For the Jackson Wagon. The Jackson Wagon was a model of wagon produced by the Austin, Tomilson & Webster Mfg. One of these wagons was used by P. Barnum for his circus, transporting Jumbo the Elephant. The wagon was also praised by Ulysses S. Austin, Tomilson & Webster shut down in 1911. This neat doorstop is guaranteed to be old and all original. Would make a great addition to any advertising or doorstop collection! Light wear from age and use. No cracks, breaks or repairs. Antique Cast Iron “Tropical Woman with Fruit” Door Stop. Colorful piece showing a tropical woman balancing a basket of fruit on her head. Unknown maker, hollow back & marked on the back lower right with just the number 1000. An couple examples of this doorstop are shown in “The Doorstop Book” by John & Nancy Smith on page 187. In very good to excellent condition with minor paint loss. On the large side, measures 11 3/4 tall and weighs 5.25 lbs.
