Really hard to find example of a Sherwin Williams cast iron doorstop or figure. This is a chameleon for Sherwin Williams paints and varnishes. Hard to get photos of this awesome piece to do justice. Appears to have some traces of the original golden colour on the sides. He is marked to the underside “The Sherwin-Williams Co Paint & Varnish Makers”. Measures about 8″ at it’s longest by 5″W at front legs. Legs intact and tail as well. NO repairs or breaks. Please see pictures for more details. Feedback will be left once received. 1890’s Large Advertising Cast Iron Frog Door Stop Santa Ana Iron Works (Calif)

1890’s Large Advertising Cast Iron Frog Countertop Display, or Door Stop Santa Ana Calif. The advertising is on the underside of the frog, and there is some original paint on the underside too, the color seems to be varying shades of brown. The paint is no longer on the top side of the frog, but it is clearly old looking. Cast Iron, approximately 5 1/2″ long by 4 1/2″ wide, and 3 tall. There is some light surface rust in the top side crevices and on the under side also, but not much. The Santa Ana Iron Works was founded in the 1880’s and was the oldest Iron works in the county, and the largest, occupying a full city block. Sadly, it no longer exists. Rare Sherwin Wiliams Paint Advertising Chameleon Lizard Doorstop Cast Iron

This is a beautiful Cast Iron Metal Advertising Doorstop. The Sherwin Williams Company which started in the 1870’s used the cast iron piece for advertising. They would give these away as promotions. The bottom is marked, The Sherwin Williams Co. Paint & Varnish Maker. It is in nice condition. The tail is bent up slightly. Even with a lot of the paint worn off it has a beautiful look. It measures approximately 8 1/2″ long the feet 5″ wide 1 1/2 tall. It also has a little bit of surface rust. Old Antique I CROAK FOR THE JACKSON WAGON Cast Iron FROG Advertising DOORSTOP

Presented for your consideration is this neat antique doorstop (or paperweight). The doorstop is made of solid cast iron and is in the shape of a frog with raised lettering down its back. Reads I Croak For the Jackson Wagon. The Jackson Wagon was a model of wagon produced by the Austin, Tomilson & Webster Mfg. One of these wagons was used by P. Barnum for his circus, transporting Jumbo the Elephant. The wagon was also praised by Ulysses S. Austin, Tomilson & Webster shut down in 1911. This neat doorstop is guaranteed to be old and all original. Would make a great addition to any advertising or doorstop collection! Light wear from age and use. No cracks, breaks or repairs. Antique Sherwin Williams Advertising Chameleon Lizard Cast Iron Door Stop. Offered is a rare original antique; Sherwin Williams Co. Paint & Varnish Makers advertising Cast Iron Chameleon Lizard. Ive seen this figure described as either a door stop or a paper weight. Research describe this piece as being from between 1895 and 1905 making this well over 100 years old. This wonderfully detailed solid cast figure has its original green paint showing light wear and natural patina. It lays perfectly flat with its long tail gently curled to the right. The legs are bent & spread as if ready to run or pounce. The bottom is totally flat with the advertising printed along its length. This is a very nice example worthy of displaying or collecting. RARE old RECORD TOOLS cast iron Gnome ADVERTISING door stop counter top display

RARE old RECORD TOOLS advertising Gnome. Hi and welcome to my listing for this rare old solid cast iron advertising piece from RECORD TOOLS. The Gnome is solid cast iron weighing in at over 8kg and standing about 10 inches high. I believe it was manufactured by Record Tools as a promotional figure for their tools and probably used as a counter top display but would make a great door stop. Record Tools are a Sheffield based company that have been in business for over 100 years. I have very occasionally come across these figures and sometimes they have the word Bulldog impressed into them underneath the word Record I believe this to be an earlier variant just having the word Record and the casting seems a little crisper. The colour is more of a green than the more traditional and common blue ones again suggesting an earlier piece. The patina is wonderful with the paint loss in areas and wear over the years it has got bags of character a real collectors piece. ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE DON’T HESITATE TO ASK.
