Large antique Davison German Shepherd dog black gold cast iron doorstop statue

Up for sale is a very large antique original Davison German Shepherd cast iron doorstop. It’s cast out of very thick iron, is done in a black and gold tone, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. Antique Cast Iron Turkey Doorstop, Davison Foundry, 11.75. This handsome fellow was an estate sale find and is in fantastic shape, considering his age. Please view all the pictures carefully and check out the detail. Bradley & Hubbard (B&H) have a similar turkey, but theirs is a slightly larger size and had rubber stoppers on the back. Not all of them came that way, but it is one of the main differences. My research on this doorstop is based on information gathered from the book’The Doorstop Book: An Encyclopedia Of Doorstop Collecting’ by John C.
