Early 20th century “full-figured” hollow cast iron Hubley doorstop in the form of a wonderful black cat. Marked on the inside 462 on both halves. At 3 pounds will surely hold your door:- Guaranteed authentic. Made by Hubley of Lancaster, PA. Very good, guaranteed original condition with minor scattered scuffs flecks/smudges and some surface rust inside. Held together with the original slotted flat head bolt just visible under the black paint on the cat’s back. Original metallic silver paint accents on the face. Measures about 10″ tall with 3 3/8″ diameter base; weighs almost 3 lbs. OFFERING the most WONDERFUL PAIR OF ANTIQUE FULL FIGURED CAT DOORSTOPS. SIZE each 7″ HIGH x 3 1/2″ ROUND DIAMETER (at the base). I CAN NOT FIND THE MAKER’S MARK ON THEM. THEY ARE STILL WONDERFUL NO MATTER WHO MADE THEM. YELLOW-Y GREEN GLASS EYES MADE OF HEAVY CAST IRON. THEY WEIGH 13 POUNDS WITHOUT BOX OR PACKING! I’VE HAD THESE FOR YEARS AND YEARS AND PART WITH THEM RELUCTANTLY. THESE ARE FROM THE EARLY 20th CENTURY (probably teens or 20’s). THEY’VE BEEN ON DISPLAY ON EITHER SIDE OF A TV FOR MANY YEARS.
