A scarce and desirable antique cast iron doorstop of a seated Boston Terrier dog, circa 1920’s, as shown in Paul Hiller’s authoritative book on Boston Terrier Collectibles, on page 35. This is an original, not a reproduction, and comes directly from the private collection of a discriminating collector. We have chosen not to clean this piece in order to retain the original remaining paint, patina and yes, even the dust. The piece will arrive to its new owner as seen in the attached photos. Antique Cast Iron Seated Hubley Fox Terrier Doorstop with Original Paint
Here is a great little piece made by Hubley, most probably in the 1920s. This antique cast iron fox terrier dog doorstop has most of its original paint has a lot of sharp details to its fur. Almost all that you find are standing. Original paint and patina that is in pretty good shape except that it looks like his tail was docked many years ago as you can see in my pictures. Please check out all the pics to judge the color for yourself. This little guy is very heavy for his size and weighs about 3lbs. And measures around 4 3/4″ tall x 5 3/4″.
