We have listed these doorstops separately and without any reserve.. Measuring 10 ½” tall by 6″ wide and 1 deep, this early 20. Century Cast Iron Doorstop depicts a Squirrel holding an Acorn. After searching online I was unable to find another example of this Squirrel Doorstop anywhere! The brown, white and black painted surface you see on this Doorstop is guaranteed to be original. There are some small removable white paint specks to the surface, but there are no other problems or any restorations. On the back you can see a maker’s mark which is difficult to read. I believe it says S. Taylor” and then I can see “M?????? We promise to list only the very best antiques and collectibles, and we also promise to describe every flaw and detail. Antique Hubley Cast Iron Doorstop Ann Fish Art Deco Bathing Girls #250
The door stop has the “C” Copy wright symbol and the “Fish” for Ann Fish on the front I and H are visible and the F and S barely visible because of the rust. It has the #250 etched on the back. Since this is a vintage item, there is definitely signs of age/wear/patina/rust. The piece still has some colored but very weathered. Please view all photos before biding. Vintage Hubley (2 Ladies) Bathing Beauties Doorstop
This is a vintage or antique Hubley?? I have owned it for 30 years. I love this one. I have looked up info on some of Hubley’s doorstops, toys, etc. And have found that some of them have been reproduced. This is in nice shape with paint chips, etc. On the bottom is stamped (C) Fish. In the 1920’s, Anne Fish, an artist and cartoonist, collaborated with Hubley and made a series of comical characters and the bathing beauties was one of them. Everyone of the comic characters will have the (C) FISH stamped on the bottom. 11″ tall and is 5″ wide at bottom. This is a heavy piece. Nice for your collection. If you have allergies, etc. Please overlook my items. This home is shared by Libby the papillon, Shelly, the cat, Miley Rose the poodle, Chubs the gerbil and tootie the bird.
