Vintage Hubley White Painted Cast Iron Russian Wolfhound (Borzoi Dog) Statue. The statue has been painted white which has been chipped off in places. This piece measures 10 1/2″ x 16″, weighs 7 pounds, and does have some wear, but no damage. RARE old RECORD TOOLS cast iron Gnome ADVERTISING door stop counter top display

RARE old RECORD TOOLS advertising Gnome. Hi and welcome to my listing for this rare old solid cast iron advertising piece from RECORD TOOLS. The Gnome is solid cast iron weighing in at over 8kg and standing about 10 inches high. I believe it was manufactured by Record Tools as a promotional figure for their tools and probably used as a counter top display but would make a great door stop. Record Tools are a Sheffield based company that have been in business for over 100 years. I have very occasionally come across these figures and sometimes they have the word Bulldog impressed into them underneath the word Record I believe this to be an earlier variant just having the word Record and the casting seems a little crisper. The colour is more of a green than the more traditional and common blue ones again suggesting an earlier piece. The patina is wonderful with the paint loss in areas and wear over the years it has got bags of character a real collectors piece. ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE DON’T HESITATE TO ASK. Littco / Hubley Cast Iron 1920’s Navy Sea Captain Doorstop Bookends Number 735. There is very little to no information about these cast iron figures on the Internet. The only identifying marks are the numbers 735 imprinted on both figures. Our best guess is that these figures are bookends from the 1920’s made by Littco. Because of their age, they are definitely in a used condition. There are numerous chips all over both figures. We do not know if the paint is original. The pictures may do a better job showing this. Antique & Rare “Man on Bale of Cotton” Cast iron Doorstop. #1248 all original piece with stunning detail. Seldom seen doorstop by Judd Manuf. Fantastic details on this piece from the facial features & cigar stub in his mouth to the wrinkles in his shirt and his hands & fingers reaching into his tobacco box. Two piece casting with the man being made of pot metal and joined to the cast iron bale of cotton by two screws from the underside. 1248 mark is not well detailed but can be seen behind the man on the cotton bale. In very good to excellent all original condition. Superb details with some paint loss. Measures 9 1/8 inches tall by 7 wide at the base. Weighs 9.15 lbs.
