Antique Cast Iron Tulip Pot Flower Doorstop National Foundry, Whitman MA 1920

Description : Think SpringAn antique painted cast iron figural Flower Doorstop, National Foundry, Whitman, Massachusetts, c. This is Tulip Pot , National Foundry design No. A relatively heavy stop with (5) robust Tulips filling up a fluted and tiered flowerpot-type base. Note : The National Foundry was a contemporary of Hubley by 10 years or so. Each Tulip Pot is entirely unique with an endless variety of color combinations ; true American Folk Art! It has not been cleaned. Moderate, age-appropriate crazing noted on the surface throughout (see close-ups). Displays brilliantly as-is, but could also certainly from light cleaning, if desired. Theres definitely some bold, vibrant color hiding in there. See photos for complete details and please consider them as part of the description. This is one of National Foundrys larger-sized floral stops; approximately 8-1/4H x 7W overall and weighing 5.6 lbs! HUBLEY Antique Cast Iron Boston Terrier Doorstop, C 1920’s -1940

HUBLEY – CAST IRON BOSTON TERRIER. Spectacular Antique Quality – Great Patina! We’ve included a large number of pictures, please look them over carefully. This dog has done a great job for many years! Paint is chipped with chips displaying undercoating or basecoat of white which satisfies a Hubley criteria of manufacture. The surface is smooth without file marks implying that great attention to detail of the casting was given. Casting seams are good and the screws, one on back of neck the other on shank, holding the two pieces of the casting together. Measurements are 10 3/8″ from tabletop to top of ears, 10″ long and. 4.5 across at widest point. This is a wonderful piece to add to your collection and at a great price. Antique Cast Iron Flower Doorstop Hubley 265 Poppies & Cornflowers, Orig Paint

An antique painted cast iron figural Flower Doorstop, probably Hubley Manufacturing Co. I believe this is Hubley design #265: Poppies & Cornflowers but dont see a clear enough backmark to be 100% certain (see close-ups, photos #9 & #10). Stop retains original painted surface with bold, vibrant colors and fine detail throughout. The photos are probably the best description. It has not been cleaned. Still quite impressive after 80+ years! This would be a real showstopper with a light cleaning. See photos for complete details and please consider them as part of the description.
