Vintage Cast Iron Doorstop USA Spread Wing Eagle Standing Two American Flags. For Your Old Ptriotic Cast Iron Doorstop Collection-EagleFlags1. Description: A vintage painted cast iron doorstop cast in the form of an American eagle standing with his wings spread open. There are to American flags emanating from the top of his head. There are the letters USA below its feet along the edge of the base. The eagle is looking to its right with the flags forming a V above its head. The doorstop is painted in green color with golden highlights throughout. The base of the door stop is red in color while the flags are in red, white and blue. The piece is very well cast as you can see. Look at the details of the feathers in the wings and the body. Look at the details on the eagle’s face where the bill and eyes depict a stern look. The piece, which is probably no more than twenty or thirty years old, is all original and retaining all of its original paint with minimal losses. There are a couple of small paint chips on the edge of the base and some rust spots on the bottom of the base. This is a nice size piece and weighs over three pounds. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Uncertain, but most likely sometime in the late 1900s or early 2000s. Size: Measures 7 3/4″ at its highest, 7 3/4″ at its widest, and the base is 5 3/4″ by 2 1/4″. The doorstop weighs over three pounds and four ounces. Distinguishing Characteristics – Most Interesting About The Piece: This is definitely a nice and very colorful doorstop. It would make a great addition to your collection. Antique Cast Iron Heavy Doorstop Ship with Sails or Galleon Marked No 205

For Your Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Collection-SailShip21212. The doorstop has two feet on which it stands and a central stop which is what would stop the door in its place. The back also has two short prongs at mid height, which extend outwards and are probably to ensure the doorstop does not touch the door. Very nice antique doorstop, marked No 205 on the back, which is large and heavy. This is a nice size piece and weighs over 5 pounds. Please view photos as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Early to mid 20th century. Origin: Uncertain but most likely the USA. Size: Measures 10 1/2″ in width and is 11″ high. The doorstop weighs slightly over 5 pounds. Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Black and White Painted Full Figure Cocker Spaniel

Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Black and White Painted Full Figure Cocker Spaniel. For Your Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Collection-Spaniel1. Description: Antique cast iron doorstop cast in the form of a full figured Cocker Spaniel. The dog is standing on all four legs with his tail stretched up and his head turned to the side. The doorstop is painted in white with black highlights on the dog’s back, ears and around his eyes. The dog’s ears are down as is typical with spaniel breeds. The dog is wearing a thin red collar which does not completely go around his neck. The dog’s eyes are nicely colored with reddish yellow surrounding a large black pupil. The piece is very well cast as you can see. Look at the details of his face, the fur on his ears, and the details of the fur over his entire body. The door stop is made of two parts held together with at least one screw, which we can see near the back close to the tail. It would seem that it should have a second screw but such a screw is not obvious. The one screw that we can see appears not to have been unscrewed in the past and we decided not to try to unscrew it to verify the existence of marks on the inside. The piece appears to be all original with quite a bit of its original paint remaining but having quite a bit of losses to the paint. This is a nice size piece and weighs about 6 pounds and 10 ounces. Please view photos as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Uncertain, but most likely sometime in the early to mid 1900s. Size: Measures 7″ in height, 11″ in length from end to end, and is 4 1/2 at its widest. The doorstop weighs about 6 pounds and 10 ounces. Marks: Unmarked on the outside. Distinguishing Characteristics – Most Interesting About The Piece: This is definitely a nice substantial antique doorstop. It would make a great addition to your collection. Condition: This doorstop is in very good condition with no breaks or repairs. It is all original and retains quite a bit of its original paint (>70%). It does have paint losses especially on the back, the rump, the paws, and the face. The only issue we see is the red collar which appears to have been repainted and does not go all around the neck.
