Antique Eastern Specialty Co. Old Salt Fisherman Cast Iron doorstop

Old Salt Fisherman Cast Iron Door Stop. This is a wonderful hard to find antique cast iron doorstop made by Eastern Specialty Co. It is marked on the back bottom base. The figure is an Old Salt fisherman wearing yellow rain gear and standing on what appears to be a gray rock. The door stop is in very good condition with minimal paint loss. The door stop measures about 14.5 inches tall and sits on a base that measures about 5 x 4 inches. Recycled packaging material may be used. Antique Cast Iron Springer Spaniel English Setter Pointer Dog Door Stop

Classic Cast Iron Setter or Pointer dog art doorstop or bookend. This dog is clearly working and has a business like expression as he points to his bird. He has aged condition, patina and paint loss. Still with great markings; a great addition for any dog lover. Measuring 8″ high x 15 1/2″ long from muzzle to tail, weighs 8 pounds 6 ounces. The fine textural details in the mold such as ridges for the straight out tail and true facial features, the painted accents portray this as a fine quality reproduction showing Phillips head crews. The edges are all smooth. No hallmark to be seen. Two soft no scrape pads on hind feet are removable. The dog is in vintage condition. The old white and black paint is all original. There is paint loss due to the cast iron coming through the paint. Structurally, the dog is in good, sturdy condition. No breaks, cracks, or signs of repair/repainting. Antique Vtg Sitting Scotty Scottish Terrier Cast Iron Dog Doorstop 8 Hubley

Wonderful Antique / Vintage Sitting “Scotty” Scottish Terrier Cast Iron Dog Doorstop. I recently acquired a small portion of the collection of 2 lifelong doorstop collectors from NY. They had traveled the US for over 50 years going to shows and antique shops looking for doorstops to add to their collection. , I was able to pick through the hundreds that were left. Please take a look at my other listings! Last photo is a sample of some I have for sale. This lovely all original doorstop features a seated / begging Scotty in natural all black with Original Paint! It is a 2 piece construction. Most of their doorstops were Hubley but I’m not positive about this one. I do know that the seated Scotty doorstops are harder to find than the standing ones and that this straight tail version is very seldom seen! Its in very nice condition for its age, especially since this is the original paint. Please see photos for best idea of condition.
