An antique painted cast iron figural Flower Doorstop attributed to Albany Foundry, New York, c. This charming Flower Basket is Albany Foundry design No. 4 as depicted in their 1924 catalog shown in Jeanne Bertoias Doorstops: Identification & Values , p. 14; see photo #12. Wicker basket with handle on triangular base overflowing with multicolored tulips, pansies, delphinium, etc. Stop retains original painted surface throughout with bold, vibrant colors. The photos are probably the best description. It has not been cleaned. Moderate, age-appropriate crazing noted on the surface throughout (see close-ups). Displays brilliantly as-is, but could also benefit from light cleaning, if desired. See photos for complete details and please consider them as part of the description. This is one of Albanys smaller-sized stops; approximately 6H x 4W overall and weighing just over 2lbs. Good Luck, thanks for watching, and be sure to bookmark my Auctions, listed and ending daily.
