Antique Albany Foundry #148 “Tulips” Cast Iron Doorstop. Early Albany piece circa 1870’s marked on the back. An early doorstop, this one dates back to the 1870’s. This marked on the back on the left side base with the Albany Foundry marks although they are hard to make out and on the right side base with the number 148 which is a bit easier to see. In very good condition with original paint. Some wear to the high spots on the flowers. One small touchup to the black base. Base has some duct tape as a pad. Measures 8 1/2 inches tall by 7 1/16 inches wide. Weighs 5.1 lbs.

A nice vintage bookend or door stop of a covered wagon. This is in overall fair to good used condition with a painted finish that has moderate finish loss. Has the mark 222 on the back. Measures about 13-1/2″ long and 7-1/4″ tall. Some minor finish wear, no apparent damage. Shelf B2/092923 – CO. HILTON HEAD HUMANE (HHH). ANTIQUE MAGNIFICENT LION CAST IRON DOORSTOP. DESCRIPTION : What an outstanding lion figure this is; the magnificent, strong, male, cast iron lion commands attention whether it be used as a doorstop or an object of art! This piece echos those popular in Victorian Era England. It is made of 2 piece cast iron; has a royal lion visage and is finished in a gold colored paint. Measuring approximately 7″ high x 9″ long x 4 1/2 deep and weighing 9 pounds 11 ounces this figure worthy of inclusion on a regal emblem is in very good condition with only expected wear of the gold finish commensurate with age. Our items have been donated to our thrift store and we usually do not have first hand knowledge of the item. We are also staffed by volunteers who are probably not expert in the item listed.
