This weathered yard ornament or door stop has all the character and detail of the Hubley, however, I cannot find a mark. It is very possible that this gnome was made by another company. Antique Setter Retriever Pointer Hunting Dog Doorstop Statue Cast Iron HUBLEY

BEAUTIFUL AND ARTFUL ANTIQUE HEAVY CAST IRON HUNTING DOG / POINTER. EXCELLENT PATINA TO ADD TO HER CHARM. I believe she is a Hubley from 1930’s. She is right size , weight , age of paint and construction. She is very large at 15″ long x 8 1/2″ tall. She weighs just over 8 lbs. The quality of the details in the casting and the way the 2 halves fit tightly together. This is a wonderful depiction of a pointer retriever dog at full point. The creamy white paint is chippy, he is aged to absolute perfection. She has hints of hand painted black spots / markings on tail , back and one ear. She has a hint of red paint left under her bottom lip and brown eyes. She is a true treasure and he her age and patina makes her one of a kind. Up for sale is an Authentic heavy cast-iron Hubley French Bulldog Doorstop. My Grandmother owned this on Long Island, NY. I know for a fact that it is from the late 1920’s to early 1930’s. The doorstop has never be refurbished, repainted, or retouched in anyway. All paint is original. It was never left outside. This original hand painted Hubley cast iron doorstop is referred to as their French Basket of Nasturtiums. These smaller doorstops were in limited numbers and are highly collectible but their small size makes this versatile to be used as a doorstop or a bookend. They make an attractive addition to your kitchen area to hold up your cook books. Measures 7-3/8” tall by 6-3/4” wide with the base 4-3/4” by 1” in a triangular shape. This has the original hand painted colours and has various areas of surface rust where paint has chipped off. In very good original condition , free from cracks.
