Antique Hubley Cast Iron White Percheron Horse Statue Doorstop, Circa 1930’s
Very nice hard to find Hubley white with gray markings cast iron horse with blue ribbon tail statue, doorstop. This statue has normal paint wear (please see pictures) but in great condition, no breaks or other damage. Measures 9.5″ long x 7 7/8″ tall x 3 5/8 wide at rear and weighs 4 lbs. Antique Hubley Cast Iron Fox Terrier Dog Doorstop, Extra Rare Front Facing Large
This stunning vintage cast iron doorstop is Hubley’s model #381, which is the very rare larger sized front-facing Fox Terrier model from the 1920’s to 1930’s. The extra large profile measures approximately 12″ long by 10″ high by 4 deep, and it weighs about 9 pounds! It has excellent detailed workmanship from the tip of his nose to his toes. Even the fur is three-dimensional! The hand painted eyes, ears and fur have a beautiful patina commensurate with age. There are no cracks or other structural damage. The original factory paint is in wonderful condition with small chips (typical with this age of cast iron collectibles) as seen in the photos. This rarely seen size and orientation is a must have for any cast iron or doorstop collector, and dog lovers too! Victorian Fox Door Stop made near the English Midlands town of Wolverhampton in the 1950s. It weights almost 10 lbs and is a rust color with shads oh redish brown. It measures approximately 8 5/8″ long by 8 1/4″ high by 5 deep, and it weighs about 7 1/2 pounds. It has excellent detailed workmanship from the tip of his nose to his toes. Even the fur is three-dimensional! The hand painted eyes, ears and fur have a beautiful patina commensurate with age. Plus, the collar still has green paint remaining intact, which is a rarity! There are no cracks or other structural damage. The original factory paint is in wonderful condition with small chips (typical with this age of cast iron collectibles) as seen in the photos.
