Antique art nouveau doorstop, Lydia, plated cast iron, large, circa 1920

Offered here is a spectacular doorstop that is likely inspired by the Hobart line Lydia figure introduced by Ohio-based Weller Pottery in 1926. Weller’s popular dancer figure was named “Lydia”. You can google “Weller Hobart Lydia” to see the obvious likeness. The Lydia doorstop is cast iron with a bronze finish. Patina is very good – see photos It is quite large. The art deco dancer is about 9 inches tall and 7-1/2 inches wide. On the backside are two numbers “0129” and “1351” Weight is 7 pounds 15 ounces.
