Antique Cast Iron Red Coat Peter Rabbit Mr McGregor’s Garden Painted Doorstop

A wonderful and hard to find antique cast iron Peter Rabbit picking carrots in Mr McGregor’s garden doorstop that measures 6.5 by 8.75 inches weighs over 4.5 pounds. This doorstop was in my Grandmother’s house in Connecticut for years. I do not see any maker marks. There is age paint loss, marks, rust on the bottom and discoloration as seen in the photo’s. A heavy cast iron decorative door stop made by Hubley, probably sometime circa early 1930’s. It is cast to depict a terrier in shades of tan, brown and black. Shows paint wear and patina consistent with age. In very good structural shape, very solid and sturdy. Stands 8-1/2″ tall and 8″ long and 4 wide. Weighs about 5.12 pounds without packaging.
