Here is an antique cast Siamese cat doorstop, which measures 9 1/4 ” inches wide by 10″ inches tall and is made in 2 pieces.. The cast iron cat is bolted to the cast iron base by two screws underneath as seen in our photos. Has the original paint still on it in good condition. This is the original. Paint and exactly the condition we acquired it in. The base measures 9 3/8 inches by just over 1 3/4 inches.

Antique COTTAGE House Painted Cast Iron DOORSTOP, Hubley 211, Cape Cod. ANTIQUE HUBLEY COTTAGE DOOR STOP. Charming antique hand painted cast iron door stop measuring 7-1/2″ wide by 5-1/3″ tall. Featuring a cozy little Cape Code style cottage complete with a red roof, green shutters and pink roses on trellis around the front door — it is not marked, but made by Hubley – believe it is pattern number 211. Condition is very good with a tiny repair to the left end picket fence tip – lots of chipping, rubbing and wear – paint has wonderful crazing and shrinkage from age – underside bears the original price I paid. RARE Original Antique ALBANY FOUNDRY or HUBLEY CAST IRON Sitting BLACK CAT Doorstop Statue. 7″ Tall x 3 1/2″ on base. Heavy and weighs in at approx. 9 LBS 7 OZ. Vintage Used Condition-Excellent Condition. Founded by John E. Hubley in 1894 to manufacture equipment and accessories for electric trains. From day one, John Hubley emphasized toy and bank manufacturing. The first Hubley toys appeared in 1909 and were made of cast-iron Anything Hubley ever made was always made in Cast Iron. Today, Hubley is most known for their Cast Iron Toys. Hubley’s Marking Style. Their Numbers on back were usually in. Engraved in the back of the Doorstop. The earliest (original) creations were marked this way, and then later on they added “made in USA”.

Genuine cast iron door stop weight I 9 pounds 7 ounces has 2 flat head screw in side and imprint on bottom hard to make out, but can see the letter H very clearly, many HUBLEY doorstops were stamped Hubley or FISH for Annie Fish who was a artist that worked at Hubley. Beautiful original paint all the seams and joints and the 2 screwsall match up to all the Hubley’s I’ve seen and researched. Came from a 78 year old collector in eastern Ohio that included lots of early hand forged iron and stoneware crockery and many early fine collectibles. See all pictures and my feedback.
