ANTIQUE CAST IRON Puppy Inkwell Doorstop Door DOG GLASS EYES STATUE 9 11lbs

Antique Art Deco Cast Iron statue depicting a Puppy Dog , baby hunting dog, hound-dog, may have been an inkwell. Breed unknown maybe LABRADOR RETRIEVER or perhaps a. Glass eyes Antique Doorstop or statue. Excellent aged condition, minor expected wear and tear for its use and age. Estimated circa 1895, nice smooth casting. Very tender look about him, realistic eyes. Hole on top of head for easy movement to different location, or maybe was an inkwell. 9 inches tall, 9 high and weighs appx. Small specks of paint on surface , never tried to remove, I think it adds to his charm. There is typical wear from use as a doorstop, he is from my private collection. Antique Cast Iron Owl Wedge Style Doorstop Original Paint

Very nice late 1800’s early 1900’s unbranded cast iron owl doorstop. The owl has excellent form and casting and still retains a good amount of the original paint. Paint shows crackle and there is some light rust which would be expected with a item of this age. Measures 11″ tall and 5″ wide at base. About Indiana Treasure Hunt. Antique Hubley Fox Terrier Cast Iron Doorstop Set (3) Pieces

This three piece set was found at a church sale in a retirement community. The woman I spoke to was the owner of this set. She told me that they belonged to her great grandmother. She donated them to the church. Honest aged and usage. There is paint wear and oxidation where the paint is missing. Well defined and highly detailed casting of this breeds typical features with a red collar. Study the photos, the largest piece may have had a repair, look for a white round patch. I don’t know. 1 The large piece stands 10″ high by 11 1/2″ wide. It weighs 9 lbs. 2 The medium piece stands 5 1/4″ high by 6 1/2″ wide. It weighs 3 lbs. 3 The small pieces stands 3″ high by 3 1/8″ wide. It weighs 8 oz. Please note here and now that we are not experts in any way, shape or form.
