ANTIQUE Blue Bird Love Birds CAST IRON DOORSTOP Vintage Flowers Urn

This listing is for a pretty cast iron doorstop depicting 2 love birds nesting in a flower and fern filled urn. The composition of the design is really nice with one bird’s wing and tail feathers continuing the upward trajectory of the ferns. The white paint is a bit chippy.. I really like the antique look of the chippiness but if you don’t a new spray coat with a metal spray paint would be easy! If you’re crafty, colorizing this is an option too. Antique Painted Cast Iron Church Doorstop Signed R. O. Wood

Antique cast iron painted doorstop with a church and trees. 5 inches wide by 6 3/8 inches tall. Can is for size comparison only. There is fading to the paint with surface scratches and rust. On back some excess paint. Signed on bottom of the back side with what looks like R. Wood but not completely visible so not positive of the name. Paint looks old and may possibly be original. Antique primitive Bradley and Hubbard cast iron doorstop

For your consideration I have an early 1900’s rare but beautifully crafted Gladiolas in the garden #489. Bradley and Hubbard certainly outdid themselves. Considering it’s age and use this particular one is in almost pristine. There are very few paint chips in it. The estate I got this from, the woman had attached green felt maticulously to the back.
