Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Black and White Painted Full Figure Cocker Spaniel

Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Black and White Painted Full Figure Cocker Spaniel. For Your Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Collection-Spaniel1. Description: Antique cast iron doorstop cast in the form of a full figured Cocker Spaniel. The dog is standing on all four legs with his tail stretched up and his head turned to the side. The doorstop is painted in white with black highlights on the dog’s back, ears and around his eyes. The dog’s ears are down as is typical with spaniel breeds. The dog is wearing a thin red collar which does not completely go around his neck. The dog’s eyes are nicely colored with reddish yellow surrounding a large black pupil. The piece is very well cast as you can see. Look at the details of his face, the fur on his ears, and the details of the fur over his entire body. The door stop is made of two parts held together with at least one screw, which we can see near the back close to the tail. It would seem that it should have a second screw but such a screw is not obvious. The one screw that we can see appears not to have been unscrewed in the past and we decided not to try to unscrew it to verify the existence of marks on the inside. The piece appears to be all original with quite a bit of its original paint remaining but having quite a bit of losses to the paint. This is a nice size piece and weighs about 6 pounds and 10 ounces. Please view photos as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Uncertain, but most likely sometime in the early to mid 1900s. Size: Measures 7″ in height, 11″ in length from end to end, and is 4 1/2 at its widest. The doorstop weighs about 6 pounds and 10 ounces. Marks: Unmarked on the outside. Distinguishing Characteristics – Most Interesting About The Piece: This is definitely a nice substantial antique doorstop. It would make a great addition to your collection. Condition: This doorstop is in very good condition with no breaks or repairs. It is all original and retains quite a bit of its original paint (>70%). It does have paint losses especially on the back, the rump, the paws, and the face. The only issue we see is the red collar which appears to have been repainted and does not go all around the neck. Antique Cast Iron Heavy Doorstop Ship with Sails or Galleon Marked No 205

For Your Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Collection-SailShip21212. The doorstop has two feet on which it stands and a central stop which is what would stop the door in its place. The back also has two short prongs at mid height, which extend outwards and are probably to ensure the doorstop does not touch the door. Very nice antique doorstop, marked No 205 on the back, which is large and heavy. This is a nice size piece and weighs over 5 pounds. Please view photos as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Early to mid 20th century. Origin: Uncertain but most likely the USA. Size: Measures 10 1/2″ in width and is 11″ high. The doorstop weighs slightly over 5 pounds. Antique Cast Iron Door Stop Painted Fruit Tree In Bucket Great Detail 13.25

This is a beautiful ANTIQUE CAST IRON PAINTED FRUIT TREE IN HANDLED BUCKET DOOR STOP. The paint work and casting detail is VERY well done. It is BIG at 13.25, and VERY heavy at 5 1/2lb / 2.5kg. This is a piece of Art, nicely done. There is no casting number or foundry mark on the back or base of it that I can see. I think it’s in great condition and very well done, from the bucket to the leaves and fruit to the bark… You must be the judge. There is some oxidation, mainly between the leaves, but still retains most of it’s original paint. Pictures are taken with and without flash for contrast and clarity. 13 1/4″h x 7 1/4″ w x 7 1/2w base. Please see ALL pictures under magnification. They are a MAJOR part of the description.
