ANTIQUE BRADLEY & HUBBARD ELF w/LANTERN DOORSTOP. From my personal collection comes this rare, original and antique Gnome Elf cast iron doorstop. Solid and heavy weight cast iron with bright colors and no touch ups to the original paint. Figure is 3-D like. Properly signed B&H stamp on back as shown. The best one I have seen although not many show up as these are scarce. Measures 8″ high, 3 7/8″ wide and 3 deep front to back. Just a wonderful piece for the serious collector. DESCRIPTION This is the more desirable version of the H L Judd Cos Dapper Dan doorstop with the heavier base that does not take a wedge. CONDITION Exceptional original condition. This is estate fresh and has NOT been cleaned, preserving the delicate paint found on this design. There is minimal wear as seen and no repairs or touch-ups. Antique late 19th, early 20th c rare cast iron rooster statue. Possibly been barn door stop or garden statue. He stands a tall 22″ high and has a base of approx 10″. He weighs a hefty 35 lbs.
