Vintage Cast Iron Doorstop Colorful Heron Standing Albany Foundry Company. For Your Vintage Cast Iron Doorstop Collection. Description: A very nice vintage cast iron doorstop. The doorstop is cast in the form of colorful heron standing. The heron has a gold colored head with some red colored highlights a white eye with black pupil. The heron’s body is colored in blue with gold and red highlights. The bird is standing on what looks like rocks. The doorstop has a flat base and shows the details of the rocks and the bird’s foot. The casting is very well done and shows details of the head, the feathers in the wing, and the details of the rocks. The back of the piece is painted in blue and shows the number “83” and possibly a “6” to its right near the base. The bottom of the base is covered with green felt and shows minor rust spots. A beautiful and rather rare doorstop worthy of a spot in your collection. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Uncertain but most likely early to mid 20th century. Size: Measures 7 1/2″ in height with the base measuring 5″ by 2 3/8. The piece weighs about 3 pounds. Maker: Albany Foundry Company. Marks: Has the number “83” stamped on the back and possibly the number “6” stamped next to oit near the bottom of the back. Distinguishing Characteristics – Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice and uncommon old doorstop. It weighs about 3 pounds and almost and is in exquisite condition with minimum losses to the beautiful coloring. A beautiful piece which would display very well in your collection of doorstops. Condition: This doorstop is in excellent good condition with no breaks or repairs. It retains most of its original coloring (estimated > 97%) with minimum wear and loss of coloring. The colors are vivid and beautiful. The felt on the bottom of the base shows some losses, soiling and wear. There are a few minor spots of rust which are seen on the base but are not evident elsewhere on the piece. All of this does not distract from the piece’s beauty and quality. Vintage Virginia Metalcrafters Cast Iron Bunny Rabbit Door Stop or Garden Figure. Stands 6.75″ tall by 8″ long x 5″ at it widest point and is 1/4″ thick. Marked inside 18-18 along with Virginia Metalcrafters Logo. Virginia Metalcrafters was located in Waynesboro, Virginia. This bunny is in great shape. No cracks or serious damage. There are a few small about 1/16 or so of dings that show sign of surface rust (see photos). This would make a great display item or just to add to your collection. Weighs a hefty 9.6 lbs. Vintage WILTON Cast Iron Frog Webbed Feet Doorstop Rare Dark Green Yellow Bottom

Vintage antique cast iron frog doorstop. Believe cast in the mid 20th century. Eyes are yellow with black centers. Gills are painted yellow. Underside has text label “WILTON”. In same style as other WILTON doorstops with WD-9 marking although this frog does not have that WD-9 marking. Paint looks in good condition. Some wear on bottom of feet. There are some red marks on bottom of frog. Frog weighs 3 lb 4.5 oz and measures 6 inches wide vs 7 inches long and 2 inches tall. If you win multiple items, contact me first before paying.
