HEAVY over 8 pounds! Vintage Cast Iron Cherub Doorstop. This is an incredibly impressive piece. It is about 16.5 inches tall and approximately 8 inches wide. This is sure to hold back any door out there with its sturdy construction! It features a lovely gold hue, a cherub frolicking and picking berries among acanthus while a large scrolled handle rises up above the winged creature. You can grasp this handle while moving and adjusting your doorstop. You can use this anywhere as a decor piece. It coordinates well with many decor styles. Recycled packaging will be used when available. We have no control over your order once the carrier receives it. Luckily, delays are infrequent! This wonderful, doorstop, in the form of a seated, French Bulldog, just exudes vintage. He was made by Hubley of Lancaster, PA. In the 1930’s and 40’s. He measures a full 7-3/4? Tall x 6-1/2? Long x 4-1/4? Wide. He has his original screw and his seams are tight. He also has his original paint, which includes a snappy red collar. He is old, and his original paint may not be perfect anymore. But he is still a very attractive guy, with a wonderfully alert expression. He would be great as a doorstop, but he would also look amazing on a desk or as a bookend.

A heavy cast iron doorstop with a pansy design that will definitely hold your door open in a breeze. The doorstop was molded and then cold-painted with bright colors. Traces of the painting on the flowers is still visible in places. The base is flat with a rubberized cover. The back is hollow. There are no labels or marks. 6 3/8″ (16.1 cm) wide x 2 ¾” (7.0 cm) deep x 6 7/8 (17.5 cm) tall. Weighs 3 lbs 15.9 oz (1815 g). There are no cracks, dents, breaks, or repairs. Many of the cold-painted colored enamels have worn off, and there are a few chips to the black enamel, especially along the bottom edge. Since the metal underneath is quite dark, the chips are not very noticeable. That door is going nowhere with this heavy cast iron doorstop. We just ask that you notify us before returning and obtain our authorization. This will ensure quick processing.

Vintage Judd Company doorstop. This full figured cast iron elephant in grass doorstop was made by the Judd Co. Not until the early 1910’s, did the company start making cast iron decorative products, such as doorstops, bookends, etc. Doorstops were marked with 4 numbers ranging from 1242 to 1296. This is marked on the back 1288. 7-1/8” long and 4-7/8” high. It weighs 7.6 pounds. Doorstop is in good condition with original paint. It is missing the rubber stoppers that goes in the two holes on the back. Uestions are welcome and thanks for the interest.
