These are a pair of black cast-iron doorstops / bookends featuring Three Little Pigs. These are large, measuring 12 inches in length, 7.5 inches in height, and 5 inches in width, and weigh 8.6lbs each. They are handmade and have a matte finish. These doorstops or bookends were manufactured in the United States during the 1980s. They are designed in a country style and are original. The previous owner had placed duct tape on the bottoms of the book end I’m guessing to help prevent scratching of surfaces. No cracks or break in the cast-iron.
Red Riding Hood doorstop. Has paint chips and crackled paint throughout but no repaint or touch ups. Look at the pictures closely for a better description of the condition of this item.
Offered here is a very collectible nautical doorstop by Bradley & Hubbard.. This is the real deal. It is very uncommon and it is in excellent condition. The B&H shop mark is on the backside. Cast iron with the bronze finish. Take a good look at the photo. This is a very hard doorstep to find. As you can see from the last photo I have a number of Bradley & Hubbard and Judd decorative doorstops. It is quite large: 9 inches tall, 7 1/2 inches wide 3-1/2 inches deep. It weighs 6 pounds. The 2 bumpers are replacements. Usually the bumpers are just missing due to being extremely brittle. Any questions please ask.
VINTAGE PAIR BOOKENDS BOY READING GIRL READING. Cast Iron with combined weight of approx. Unmarked (I see similiar pairs attibuted to Hubley Artline). The boy measure approx. 5 1/2 inches high and 6 1/2 inches long. The girl measures approx. 5 1/2 inches high and 6 inches long. I believe that the pair were made as bookends but could also function as decorative doorstops when considering the material and weight. Paint is chipped away in many places on the figurines. Photos show all sides of the figurines and top and bottom views. Zoom in on photos to assess condition and as part of the full description. I attempted to describe it to the best of my ability and based on my research. Local pick-up is available.
