Up for consideration this antique cast iron Hubley wire hair fox terrier dog door stop measuring 6 1/2″ long & 5 1/4″ tall. Pictures show good original condition with some paint nicks & great looking color. The Hubley Manufacturing Company was first incorporated in 1894 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Antique Sherwin Williams Advertising Chameleon Lizard Cast Iron Door Stop. Offered is a rare original antique; Sherwin Williams Co. Paint & Varnish Makers advertising Cast Iron Chameleon Lizard. Ive seen this figure described as either a door stop or a paper weight. Research describe this piece as being from between 1895 and 1905 making this well over 100 years old. This wonderfully detailed solid cast figure has its original green paint showing light wear and natural patina. It lays perfectly flat with its long tail gently curled to the right. The legs are bent & spread as if ready to run or pounce. The bottom is totally flat with the advertising printed along its length. This is a very nice example worthy of displaying or collecting.
